DAIRY FARMERS
On Tuesday January 30th, 2018, the Dairy Farmers of Ontario are coming to your child’s classroom to give a hands-on presentation that will connect with the Ontario Health curriculum. Your child will have the opportunity to make butter during this workshop. The students are given the opportunity to taste the butter on a saltine cracker if they wish, however this portion of the workshop is completely optional.  For more information about the workshop, you can visit http://www.education.milk.org/programs.html. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact your child’s teacher. If there are any allergies that we are not aware of, please contact the office to let us know.

Best Regards,

CARNAVAL
Carnaval is one week away! On February 1st, students from all grades will join together to enjoy a celebration assembly, the crowning of our King and Queen of Carnaval, and to participate in team outdoor activities. In addition, students will be offered hot chocolate (chocolat chaud) to help celebrate the traditions of our Winter Carnaval. Below is a list of the ingredients for both kinds of hot chocolate that may be served to your child. Please advise your child’s teacher if you do not want your child to consume hot chocolate.
We still need your help! There are several opportunities for parents to volunteer, especially with outdoor activities. Please sign up at https://www.volunteersignup.org/949KB.
The grade 5’s are very grateful for all of the recyclable materials they received. We can’t wait to see what they have created! Thank-you to all those who donated items. Donations are no longer required.

Please see the attached which includes a list of ingredients in the hot chocolate.

IMMUNIZATIONS
