“How well students do in school can be determined by how well they are able to self-regulate.” – Dr. Stuart Shanker

Research shows that self-regulation has a stronger association with academic achievement than IQ (Diamond 2007).

This year, we have a SURPRISE guest speaker at our School Open House on October 13th to learn about the importance of Self-Regulation and how it impacts student learning. It is a chance to learn what you can do to help your children succeed at school. As part of our School Improvement Plan, all Pilgrim Wood staff members will be focusing on developing the self-regulation skills of ALL of our students. Join us in this journey!
